What services do you offer?

I provide document and presentation design, website design and maintenance, and ongoing business support for small businesses. Whether you need help creating polished branded documents, building or updating your website, or managing the behind-the-scenes tasks, my services are designed to keep your business running smoothly and looking professional.

How can I work with you?

Send me an email or text to open the lines of communication. You are also welcome to give me a call during my office hours - I offer a free 15 minute phone or zoom call (if you prefer) to chat and see if I can help you. There is no obligation to work with me after the call.

What happens after we've had a chat?

After the initial call or email correspondence to ascertain if we are the right fit, I will send you a proposal and quote. Once you have agreed to the quote in writing (email is fine!), I will send an invoice (if a deposit is required) and request information about your business, including any existing marketing text, your logo, brand colours, and regularly used images (if relevant to the tasks). Please don’t stress if you do not have all these things. I can assist with all aspects except for logo creation (for which I can provide a recommendation). There will also be a link to Google Drive to make it easier to share images or any other information you wish to give me access to.

 

What website platforms do you work with?

I specialise in Wix, Squarespace and Simplero - platforms that are flexible, user-friendly, and well-suited to small businesses. I’m also happy to work with other platforms where needed, depending on your setup. Please reach out to discuss.

Why don't you use Wordpress to build websites?

I get this question a lot. In my experience, as someone who does not write programming code, I found it clunky and in no way user-friendly. Should you wish to one day take over managing your own website, this would prove to be a very difficult platform for you to learn.

 

Can I update my own website?

Yes, absolutely! Once your website is complete, I can provide a handover with guidance so you feel confident managing updates yourself. You also have the option to continue working with me for ongoing updates and support if you’d prefer. There’s no obligation either way.

Do I have to commit to ongoing support?

No, there’s no lock-in. You’re welcome to engage me for a one-off project, or continue with ongoing support if and when you need it. My services are designed to be flexible around your business.

Can you work with my existing branding/content?

Yes, I can work with your existing branding and content, or help refine and improve it where needed to ensure everything feels cohesive and aligned.

Do you offer SEO services?

I include basic SEO setup within website builds (such as page titles, meta descriptions, and structure), but don’t offer ongoing SEO services. I’m happy to refer you to a specialist if needed.

Are you a graphic designer?

No, I’m not. The old terminology was ‘Desktop Publisher’. Essentially I work with layout design to present information in an appealing way. So if you need a logo, unfortunately i’m not the right person to help you. But, I may have some recommendations based on what illustrative design assistance you require. Send me a message and I’ll see who I can recommend.

Can I see examples of your work?

Yes and no. Due to client confidentiality, a lot of examples can't be shared. But I can share the websites I have created and my own document designs. Testimonials are also available. ​

Can I meet you in person?

As a virtual assistant, the majority of my meetings take place online. Face-to-face meetings are possible depending on location and time permitting. Please contact me to discuss.

 

We might not be the right fit

Please don’t take offence if I decide I am not the right person to assist you. I take a lot of pride in my work and if I do not feel like I would be able to provide assistance for your particular need at the highest quality, I will decline, and you have every right to decide I‘m not right for your needs as well.
